The Area Plan
The purpose of the Area Plan is to provide a document that gives guidance and direction for the council over the next five years in addressing the problems, needs, and opportunities identified from input received from sponsors and the general public. The Area Plan addresses the identified issues through the development of specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound (SMART) goals and objectives. The Area Plan will serve as the basis for the development of Annual Plan of Work. The Area Plan also serves as the agreement between the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Gulf Coast RC&D Council.
